Conservation Action Plan for the vulnerable Syrian Serin, Serinus syriacus in Dana Biosphere Reserve

Dana Biosphere Reserve is characterized by diverse habitats, including highlands plateau with steppe vegetation, juniper and oak open woodland amongst rounded sandstone hills, rugged rocky slopes, gorges, sand dunes, and perennial streams lined with tress and oleander bushes.

Amman-Tuesday 1/5/2012- The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) announced the winners of its National Nature Guide Training Scholarship competition on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at a reception held at Wild Jordan Center. The event was under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Khaled Irani, President of RSCN, and His Excellency Dr. Molefe Tsele, Ambassador of South Africa and Beth S. Paige, Mission Director, USAID.
